Though Im pretty sure the sentence is wrong with the use of plurals etc.

Je préfère = J’aime mieux = I prefer
Magasin de livres = librairie = bookshop
In French, we put plurals wxhen we’re spealing about “generality”. There are several shops selling Books and music.
